For clarity, the client, "Law Offices of Branden T. Nakahara" is referred to throughout this case study as “the client.”

Wide-length CTA to encourage visitors to schedule a consult

The client had a law practice worth trusting, but their old website didn’t show it. The design felt outdated, the content was limited, and the site wasn’t built to convert interest into action. For a solo attorney competing in a crowded market, that digital gap made growth harder than it needed to be.

We stepped in to fix that. Using Webflow, we built a clean, modern site that makes it easy for potential clients to understand what the firm offers, how to get in touch, and what to expect. We kept the branding familiar but sharpened the visuals, added structure, and laid the foundation for future growth with a flexible CMS.

The result is a professional-grade website that works as hard as the attorney behind it. It now plays an active role in how the client markets their services, builds relationships, and turns visits into signed contracts—all without the cost or overhead of a traditional agency.

Huge step-up from their former website

A Clean, Credible Website for a Growing Legal Practice

The client wanted a website that reflects their professionalism without overcomplicating their message. As a solo practitioner in Hawaii, they needed to look established, approachable, and trustworthy, especially to clients unfamiliar with the legal system.

They kept the logo but refreshed the visual identity with a neutral, minimal palette. Shades of navy blue, soft beige, and warm whites helped position the firm as calm, sharp, and competent. Animations were subtle and strategic, and used only where they help guide the visitor or add polish.

The layouts are clean and content-driven. Key services are easy to find. The language is plain and direct, speaking to real people, not just legal peers. Navigation is minimal but purposeful, built to support quick decisions: learn about the practice, book a consult, or get in touch. The entire site is built on Webflow, giving us full control over design and responsiveness. It loads fast, scales cleanly on mobile, and feels consistent across every screen size.

In a competitive legal market, especially for younger attorneys, perception matters. This website doesn’t try to do too much, but it does exactly what it needs to: make a strong first impression and help turn visits into consultations.

For now, it's a simple form. The site is set up to automate bookkeeping for future third-party integrations.

Clear Goals, Built for Conversion

The client came in to use the website to support their business growth. As a solo attorney, that meant two things: turning visitors into leads, and turning leads into long-term clients.

The site was designed to support that full arc. From first impression to booked consult, every step is simplified. Clear service descriptions, straightforward copy, and easy contact options all serve the same purpose: reduce friction and build trust.

But it doesn’t stop at the initial inquiry. The website’s role is to help shape the entire client experience. A professional, polished interface builds confidence early, making it easier for leads to commit, and stay committed. That’s especially important in legal work, where relationships often extend beyond one case or consultation.

The site creates a strong entry point for their intended target audience. Once a lead reaches out, the rest happens offline: through contract, onboarding, and continued service. This clarity in purpose is what makes the site work for their business. It’s both a portfolio and a tool. And for a solo practitioner competing in a market with older, more established firms, having a credible, well-structured site puts them ahead.

The client focuses on 4 practice areas, and each practice has a dedicated section for case studies

CMS Setup for a Scalable Legal Practice

The client didn’t just need a site that looked good today. They needed one that could grow with the practice. That meant building a content management system (CMS) flexible enough to support new pages, services, and team members as the law office expands. We built the site on Webflow with three CMS collections already in place: one for legal practice areas, one for case studies, and one for team profiles. These aren’t live yet, but they’re fully functional and ready to be populated as the firm evolves.

Everything was structured to be easy to update. No code required. The client can log-in via editor access, update bios, publish case results, or add new legal services in a few clicks. It’s designed to be maintained without needing a developer. The CMS also gives us control over future growth. If the client decides to run a blog, publish legal resources, or segment content by service type, the foundation is already there. It’s flexible by design.

By building the CMS early—even before the content was finalized, we made sure the site was a long-term asset, not a static brochure.

Their site also has a email-capture feature, that specifies how often they'd like to be notified of updates, newsletters etc.

A Valuable Tool with Long-Term Impact

Since launching the new website, the client has seen steady growth in qualified leads, and stronger retention from existing ones. The redesign reshaped how the client presents their legal services and results on their website. It gave them credibility, structure, and a professional presence that matches how they operate offline. And more importantly, it gave them a digital system that supports how they want to grow, converting new leads while staying accessible to return clients.

This entire project was delivered without a bloated agency price tag. By working directly with me, the client got the same strategic value: design, development, UX thinking, and CMS flexibility, and at a cost that worked for a solo practice. Whether you’re a legal practice, a service-based business, or anything in between, you don’t need a massive team to do it right. You just need the right builder.
