After earning my computer science degree from Chaminade, I left Hawai‘i knowing that local tech opportunities were limited. I moved to San Francisco and worked three jobs at one point just to get by. But each role helped clarify what I was good at—and what I wanted long term.
Over the next several years, I took on technical and creative roles for businesses and startups across California and New York. The range of work gave me practical experience I couldn’t have found back home. I learned how to solve problems quickly, communicate clearly with clients, and build systems that worked—without the unnecessary overhead.
Nearly a decade later, I returned home to Hawai‘i to help my family and brought back what I learned from the mainland. Today, as the Digital Director at Hawaii Business Magazine, I oversee all digital production—from web and social to video and email deployments—ensuring everything we put out is cohesive, user-focused, and built to perform.
Outside the magazine, I work directly with clients and nonprofits to create plug-and-play deliverables with a focus on scalability, efficient UX, and measurable results that support real growth.
